Golf Day sees Green!

Charity Golf Day raises money for Father Chris Riley's Youth Off The Streets

Frank Legal held its inaugural Charity Golf Day on July 28th at Castle Hill Country Club, supporting Father Chris Riley’s ‘Youth Off The Streets’ program.

The day was a great success! We had 68 players and over 80 people for lunch who all heard about the wonderful work that Youth off the Streets do around NSW.

The day started with a delicious breakfast and excellent coffee provided by Salvage and at 7:30am the first ball was struck. There were some novelty holes along the way which players could participate in for a donation. This included exploding golf balls, nearest to the pin, the straightest drive, an accelerator hole, as well as the almighty challenge of hitting a golf ball into a boat 150 metres away! We had our doubts as to whether or not this challenge was too hard but hats off to Scott Taylor from Keep It Simple Super who successfully covered the distance and was bang on target!

Following the golf, people networked over lunch in the club house before listening to an encouraging and provocative presentation by Cheryl Johnstone from Youth Off The Streets. We continued to fundraise during lunch and we are pleased to announce that the day raised in excess of $5,000 for Youth Off The Streets. A fantastic effort all round and we are very appreciative of everyone’s support, willingness to participate and sense of humour that made the day such a success.

The Date has been set for next year’s Golf Day, Tuesday 26th July 2016. Start practicing now as we look forward to seeing you there!
