I oversee the firm’s growth and development with particular focus on the growth of the @Work Service Model and the Advisory Team.

James is married and has 3 young kids and a chocolate lab. Enjoys batch coffee. Spends time with his family and at church while not working.

Bahar Agar, Director of Corporate & Commercial, advises clients across various industry sectors on a range of corporate securities and commercial transactions. With a keen focus on public and private mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, and corporate governance, Bahar has been recognised in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for Mergers and Acquisitions Law for 2023 and 2024. Her experience includes advising on complex M&A transactions, capital raisings, ASX Listing Rules, and compliance with the Corporations Act. Bahar holds a Bachelor of Laws from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Social Science in Criminology and Social Policy from the University of New South Wales.

Outside of work, Rhys is a fan of football (Borussia Dortmund specifically) and a member of the State Emergency Service.

He's passionate about giving small business owners the tools, frameworks and perspective to not just manage what they have, but seize what is possible.

Bahar leads our Corporate & Commercial team, advising clients across a broad range of industries, including medical technology, NDIS providers, specialist trade businesses, equipment and labour hire companies, and professional services firms. She leads all of the firm’s M&A work, acting for both buyers and sellers on transactions ranging from complex, multi-million-dollar acquisitions to growth-stage capital raisings. With extensive experience across M&A, capital structuring, Corporations Act compliance, and complex commercial matters, Bahar is known for combining sharp legal execution with a strategic, commercial lens, helping clients navigate high-stakes transactions with clarity and confidence. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Social Science in Criminology and Social Policy from UNSW and was Recognised in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for Mergers & Acquisitions Law in both 2023 and 2024

As the engine behind the firm, Sarah keeps things moving, enabling the team to focus on delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.

She draws on her legal background to support strong commercial outcomes and manage complexity throughout the transaction process. Andrea holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Law from the University of New South Wales and has been part of The Frank Group since 2015.

At Frank Law, she advises small to medium-sized businesses that wish to grow in terms of their employment and work health & safety compliance. In addition, she represents clients in industrial relations disputes. Some of the areas she focuses on include casual conversion compliance, contract templates, HR policy rollouts, offboarding procedures, flexible working policy and practice, the importance of an EAP for employee wellbeing and award and enterprise bargaining agreement compliance. In her role as Executive Assistant to James, our Chief Executive Partner, Lisa manages his schedule, correspondence, and a range of operational tasks, ensuring the smooth running of daily activities. She holds a Certificate III in Business Administration.

Tamara is responsible for shaping and executing the firm’s marketing strategy. She brings skills from her diverse background in both in-house and agency roles, with experience spanning B2B services, mining, financial services, and consumer technology. A marketing generalist by nature, Tamara is driven by good strategy and enjoys working across both traditional and digital channels to build brands, launch initiatives, and drive growth. She has a particular passion for B2B and service-based marketing, where clear positioning and thoughtful storytelling make the biggest impact.
