Every dog has its day...in court

Funny Law Dog case from Knox City taken before the High Court

If The Castle established that a man’s home is his castle, a recent High Court challenge has confirmed that a dog is man’s best friend.

Isbester v Knox City Council recently made its way to the High Court of Australia, with the owner challenging the decision by Council to order the termination of a Staffordshire terrier, Izzy.

It should be noted that cases require special leave to appeal to the High Court, and such leave is not granted lightly.

The case was heard on 14 April 2015 and a decision is pending.
