Snr Associate/Special Counsel - Commercial Litigation (FT/PT)
This is a leadership mandate, not just a senior role. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of the firm's commercial litigation practice, leading complex matters, building your client base, and mentoring junior talent, within the established infrastructure of a reputable B2B firm.
You'll inherit an existing client book and cross-referral network, with full autonomy to shape the practice's strategic direction. For the right person, there is a clear and accelerated pathway to Principal or Equity Partner.
We support flexible working and are open to part-time arrangements for the right candidate.
What's Involved:
– Lead and manage complex commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution
– Drive business development, build your client base, referral network, and practice pipeline
– Collaborate with the Corporate Advisory and Commercial teams on cross-practice mandates
– Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, building the next generation of litigators
– Contribute to the firm's thought leadership through articles, presentations, and seminars
– Oversee practice management and achieve individual and team financial targets
About You
– 7+ years post-admission experience in commercial litigation
– Proven ability to manage complex matters independently and lead a team
– Strong advocacy, negotiation skills, and a track record of successful client outcomes
– Commercial acumen, you see beyond the legal issue to the business opportunity
– A track record or clear aptitude for business development and revenue generation

Corporate M&A Lawyer
As an M&A Lawyer at Frank Law, you'll work closely with our director and clients on a wide range of corporate transactions. You'll advise SME and lower mid-market clients on complex matters including:
- Structuring and executing acquisitions, divestments, and joint ventures
- Drafting and negotiating key corporate documents such as sale and purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, subscription agreements, and disclosure materials
- Advising on capital raising (equity and debt) transactions
- Supporting clients through due diligence processes and transaction management
- Providing strategic commercial advice across the lifecycle of a deal
This role offers exposure to high-quality, hands-on matters where you'll have direct client contact and the opportunity to shape deals end-to-end.
About You
We are looking for someone who is confident, commercially minded and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will bring:
- A minimum of 3 years PQE in M&A
- Strong technical skills in managing due diligence review, drafting and negotiating transaction documents
- Experience advising SME or mid-market clients (preferred, but not essential)
- Commercial acumen and the ability to balance legal risk with business realities
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and willingness to take ownership of matters
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships

Employment Lawyer (PT)
You’ll work primarily in our employment law practice, with the opportunity to be involved in broader commercial matters. Day to day, you can expect to:
- Advise employers on contracts, policies and workplace compliance
- Assist with unfair dismissal, general protections and other employment disputes
- Draft, review and negotiate employment contracts and contractor agreements
- Work on workplace investigations, performance and misconduct issues
- Support the commercial team on general matters (e.g. basic commercial contracts, corporate governance documents, M&A) depending on your experience
- Have direct contact with clients and help deliver clear, commercial advice
You’ll be supported by senior practitioners but given responsibility and autonomy.
About You
You will:
- Be an admitted Solicitor with at least 2 years’ PQE in employment law (more experienced candidates are very welcome to apply)
- Have WHS desired but not a must
- Be confident in advising on day-to-day employment issues for employers
- Have strong drafting skills with attention to detail
- Be comfortable managing your time and files on a 3 days per week basis
- Have interest in (or some exposure to) general commercial work
- Be a team player who communicates well with clients and colleagues
