What To Do in June 2020

Written by Micaela Corr | 2/06/20 1:34 AM

With restrictions starting to lift our lives are easing back into some sort of normalcy. It's important to use our newfound freedom to be supporting the businesses that need it the most. Here are a few ideas of how to spend your June!

Travel in NSW

Restrictions have been lifted on travel in NSW, where you can stay in a holiday home with up to 10 people, or more than 10 if you are all members of one household. With the long weekend coming up, it is a perfect chance to get out of the house and visit a town that was affected by the bushfires earlier this year. Support our regional businesses and towns by staying the weekend, eating out, and buying their local goods.

Dine Out

Restrictions have lifted to allow up to 50 customers in a cafe or restaurant, or 1 customer per 4 square metres. The hospitality industry has been significantly impacted from COVID-19 restrictions, and so need our support to keep our favourite locals in business! Make sure you book beforehand with the correct number of guests, eat up and spend with them!

See Wildlife

NSW restrictions have lifted to allow aquariums, zoos and reptile parks to reopen with some restrictions on capacity. Take the family out to see some real life animals at your local wildlife park. Or, if you're not sure about venturing out just yet, Google has created a VR experience to have animals roam in your home. If you search for an animal on Google, and click the 'View in 3D' option, it will appear as though it is in your house. Some animals it works for: lions, sharks, pugs, pandas, bears and tigers.
