What To Do in December

Our list this month invites you to take advantage of the season and enjoy our city's great culture.

December means warm nights, school holidays, and festive celebrations. We've collated a list of the great events happening in our area in December.

December - Rouse Hill Farm in LEGO

LEGO-certified professional Ryan McNaugh has built an entire replica of Rouse Hill House and Farm made out of LEGO. The exhibition showcases the impressive model that has incredible architectural accuracy, including the house, stables and farm animals. The exhibition also has 200,000 LEGO pieces for visitors to create their own constructions. The 1 hour session is suitable for children 3 years and older. Tickets cost $15 (3 years - adult), with a family package available.

November 16th - December 23rd - Kellyville Pets Santa Paws Pet Photo

If you're looking to include your furry friends in the Christmas festivities, head over to Kellyville Pets for their Santa Paws photo shoot. The shoots run across Saturdays and Sundays, with a few late night Thursdays. Bookings are essential with a $5 deposit to secure the booking, which goes to Animal Welfare League NSW. There are multiple packages available depending on how many pets and people you'd like in the shot. If you have an anti-social dog, they are also providing a 'Caution: No Dogs' package to allow your pupper to meet Santa by themselves.

December 11th - Christmas in the Hills

Returning for its 8th year, Christmas in the Hills is set to be bigger and better than ever. The event kicks off at 4.00pm with rides, entertainment, stalls and activities. Make sure you're there on time to snag a great picnic spot ready for the carols. They will be led by St Paul's Castle Hill and Wesley Uniting Church alongside a 49-piece orchestra. The night will end at 9.00pm with an amazing firework display. The Castle Hill Police, The Mounted Police, The Rural Fire Brigade and the SES will all have displays. This year all ticket proceeds will go to Foster Care Angels, Learning Links and Hills Community Aid. To embrace the Christmas spirit and support the local organisations in the Hills, purchase your tickets by following the link.

December 14th - Carols in the Crescent

For classic Christmas carols and a splash of celebrity, go along to Carols in the Crescent. Guy and Jules Sebastian are hosting the carol night to raise money for The Sebastian Foundation, which gives support and love to vulnerable people in our community. The two hour event will feature singing and on stage entertainment, as well as food trucks and rides for the kids. It is a free event, however donations are requested to support the cause. It is held in the open-air crescent in Parramatta Park.
