What To Do in August 2020

As we head into another month of restrictions, it is important to be supporting our local businesses but also be responsible in how we spend our time. We have curated a list of a few socially-distanced activities for August.

Social distance in style

Pier One have brought back their winter igloos for a chic way to socially distance. The transparent igloos set up along the balcony of Pier One provide beautiful harbour views while you enjoy the cosy space with oysters and champagne. There are 3 types of igloos to hire: the dream igloo, the hot tub igloo and the proposal igloo.  Each igloo is at a cost of $200 for hire, with max capacity at 10 people. You can book for a midday, sunset or twilight experience. Click here for more information.

Test your brains

Our local restaurants and pubs have been doing it tough this year with restrictions, and so while we can, it is a great time to support them by going along to a trivia night. QuizFinder has mapped out all the places that hold weekly trivia nights, which you can find here. So, read up on current events, gather a team together, and brainstorm a punny team name! Make sure you call up first to book a table so that everyone can keep to patron limits.
