School holidays present a problem: how can we fill two weeks with interesting activities? Here are a few ideas to make the break a little more exciting!

 

April 12th - April 23rd - Sydney Royal Easter Show

Sydney's Showground is about to be stormed with Sydneysiders with their arms full of showbags, searching for where the next wood chopping show is happening. The marvelous Royal Easter show is taking place in the April school holidays. Full of all the classic attractions, the show is a great all-day activity this month. For more information, click here. 

April - James Cameron: Challenging the Deep 

The Australian National Maritime Museum's exhibition inspired by James Cameron, is coming to a close at the end of the month. The immersive exhibition allows visitors to explore Cameron's career investigating the deep blue. It includes special exhibitions on Sharks and Humanity, action stations, a fleet of ships, permanent galleries and kids activities. For more information, click here.

April 22nd - May 19th - Sydney Comedy Festival 

The Sydney Comedy Festival is back for another year to launch Sydney into a fit of giggles. With shows at the Sydney Opera House, Enmore Theatre, The Concourse Chatswood and Riverside Theatres in Parramatta, you'll find a show close to home. The festival boasts International talents like Jay Pharoah, Arj Barker and David O'Doherty, Aussie successes such as Joel Creasey and Dave Hughes and a string of fresh new jokers. April 16th - 26th - Bush Tucker: Rouse Hill House and Farm

If you're looking for an engaging, local day out with the kids, head over to Rouse Hill House and Farm. Designed for children between 5 and 12 years old, the day teaches children how to identify plants and wildlife, use traditional ingredients to make a cake and then share their cake together.
